How I fixed my group request limit by Stygma, journal
How I fixed my group request limit
At the end of August 2016, DeviantArt released a change to groups, limiting submissions in a group to 10 a day. This change also impacted the request limit for admins. And it was clear from the start that something was wrong. Some groups were able to request many artworks a day while others only 10 or even less. And there were also other issues: members submissions way higher than 10 a day, groups being hacked because their invites as admins were suddenly automatically approved, and maybe other issues that I don't know of. Since my own group was limited to a maximum of 10 requests a day, I decided, with the collaboration of the help desk, to

How to Transfer Foundership in a Group
When you need to turn over a group to another founder, go to the backroom on the group and click on "Manage Members". Click on the "Founder" section on the left, then on the right, scroll down to the area where it states "Can invite in". Click on "Add". At that point, the "Founder" option should be in a drop-down box. Click on "Founder" then hit "save".
Next, where your screenname shows as the founder, click on the little arrow on the left and choose to "change role" in the group. Choose the option that best suits you.
Once you click on a different role, a new dialog box will appear to give you the option to turn the group over to another

Community Week
Groups are those spaces on DeviantArt that allow us to meet and interact with other users, through various means such as Designing, Contests, and Special activities where everyone can freely participate, expose their art in the group gallery, share resources and tutorials of artistic help, other topics, and more! What makes a group a successful? Very simple: It has a Administrative Team whose relations are based on Core Values of DA (I think this can be applied to all groups on DA, not just to the Community Relations team): Community, Respect, Excellence, Artists, Trust and Empowerment. The groups and their admin
Engaging Members in a Smaller Group by Khallandra, journal
Engaging Members in a Smaller Group
Community Week
Introduction
The Groups system has made it very easy for members of fandoms and mediums to come together, and whilst members are what makes a group work, sometimes smaller groups seem to lack the attention that the larger ones get. A small group can be just as fun and rewarding to be a member of as a large group.
This article has a couple of ideas for how to keep up interest in a smaller, more niche group. Some ideas may also be useful for medium to larger groups.
Folders
Making the group easy to navigate and understand can be done with thoughtful use of folders. In most groups the folder types are governed by the group conten

Being an inspiration within the community
Community Week
DeviantArt is an incredibly large community, and to many of us it's easy to feel that we cannot have an impact within it, without being incredibly popular, or having a special 'status' such as Senior, or by being a Community Volunteer. As natural as this thought might be, however, it is quite wrong. There are so many ways to be an inspiration within the community, and in this article I will describe a few key ones.Art Features
Compiling art features and posting them through your journals is one of the easiest ways to start trying to inspire and influence the community. There is so much art on DeviantArt, and so many artists de

Declined Work in DeviantART Groups
How many of you have seen that big red X in your correspondence and had your heart sink?
Almost all of us have had our work declined from some group or another on deviantART. For some of us, it's a minor inconvenience. For some, it's not even all that surprising. For others, though, it's a bolt out of the blue. Maybe being declined doesn't surprise you, but the reasons or responses do. In this article, I'm going to try to get to the bottom of understanding why it happens and how do deal with it, both as a submitting member and a declining admin.

This attitude in groups really irks me: by Mrs-Durden, journal
This attitude in groups really irks me:
I just felt the need to rant about something that really bothers me in groups. Lately I've been using my journals mostly for features rather than my own thoughts, well here are some of my thoughts.
When people leave a group because of their work being declined, it pisses me off for several reasons:
Firstly, you're leaving a group because your work was declined, thus making the point that the only thing you cared about in terms of your membership, was getting more views and faves on your own stuff.
Secondly, you're therefore giving up the opportunity to discover new artists, and improve yourself, because you're simply pissed off about your
